Desiree Seow 20589727 - Fringe Festival TVC
30 second animation:
Description:
For my final project, I chose to create a TVC for the Melbourne Fringe Festival 2011.
The purpose of the TVC is to convey and advertise the main attributes of what the Fringe Festival is all about, to the general public. It also clearly targets the art side of Melbourne as its audience. Basically, the Fringe Festival wants “inspiring, shocking, disgusting, surprising, entertaining, challenging or provoking” artworks to be submitted from contributors.
The style used in the animation is one of my personal favourites: stop-motion. I find that stop-motion portrays the artwork in a raw and natural way on the screen, and also it added to the handmade feel of the animation. All sounds in the animation were recorded from my home printer, and then mixed in various ways to produce the sounds heard.

keegan Lillo - Project 1 - Die for Oil Suckers
I took 10 photos of myself creating the basic Phoneme shapes. I then vectorised these images in Adobe illustrator, where I altered the colours and removed the eyes. I then imported the final series of Ai files into Adobe After Effects so that I could use them to create a lip synch effect, which was in time to the provided audio clip.

Final Project
Hi! Finally got it ready, i was trying for a sketchy type look with some flowing motion graphics for the song "United states of whatever" by Liam Lynch. i think it needs more grunge... ive added shaky camera movements to the HD one on the dvd, an some funky overlays that enhance it a bit.

Bradley Whitwell - Final Project
My project is a video response to apart of the song ‘the metro’ by system of a down, I’ve gone for a black and white noir feeling, and tried to give the piece an overall dark tone to it, as well a progressive story feeling. I think the audio went a little out of sync now that I’ve uploaded it, I hope its better on the CD.
+ I ditched my previous idea with the zombie, I was having a lot of trouble working with video footage, and came to a dead end.
I also just realized I didn’t leave this description with my CD. So I hope you see this first.

Ka Man Carmen Chung | Final Project
I have created a 30 second commercial for Onna Jewellery to promote the website.
The concept of this video:
because I set the target audiences will be female around 18-30, so I used pink to be a main colour, and also create some flourish to make the commercial look more elegant
I used photoshop and after effects to put everything up.
hope u like it~

I am making a video installation explore the relationship between human body and nature.
The human figure moves forward and backward with the images over the whole body all the time through. My idea is to show how nature interacts with human and how nature can actually affect on human condition.

Marx Final Project
I have created a one minute ten seconds video sequence using the theme of consumerism with an ad busting twist. The sequence is called Anti-Addz and is based on counter culture.
My aim is to create a piece that acknowledges that we are bombarded by advertising and marketing in our every-day lives. We are reminded and surrounded by these unnecessary messages. At the same time I am distorting and changing the original message.
Laura - Experimental Found Footage
Experimental Found Footage from Laura Chong on Vimeo.
My original concepts were based on the story of The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde and combining that with found imagery. I really liked the story and the idea of found imagery but I didnt really have a direction to take it. I then moved on to the idea of using found imagery from the 50's. I found a really good library book full of quirky 50's advertising.
From there, I started looking at found footage from the 50's and came across all this really good stuff from archive.org which lets you use their stuff free. I decided on creating this experimental piece, using really random bits of found footage with quotes from the book. Instead of just quoting it in English I decided on using different European languages to enhance that feeling of obscurity.
